HOW TO ADOPT
At Bronx Familia Animal Shelter, we believe every rescue deserves a loving, forever home.
Adopting is not just adding a pet to your life — it’s making a promise to care, protect, and love them for the rest of their days.
STEP 1 - Find Your Match
Browse our Adopt page to see our animals currently looking for homes. If one captures your heart, contact us to express your interest or ask us for help to find your perfect match.
STEP 2 - Adoption Application
We will send you an adoption questionnaire to learn about your lifestyle, home environment, and experience with animals. This helps us ensure the perfect match for both you and your future companion.
STEP 3 - Adoption Fee
Adoption Fee – 300 €
This fee helps cover the full veterinary preparation and care your animal receives before adoption.
What does it cover?

Basic health check and veterinary examination before travel

Optional Costs

Airport transport to Heraklion Airport: 70 €

Why do we charge a fee?
Every cent of the adoption fee goes directly towards the animal’s medical care, shelter upkeep, and rescue operations.
Your adoption helps us continue saving lives — one animal at a time.
STEP 4 - Travel Preparation
We handle all veterinary treatments, documents, and (if needed) travel arrangements to ensure your new family member arrives safe and healthy.
STEP 5 - Adoption Day
The happiest moment - meeting your new family member at the airport or in the shelter.
